Blood donor cards, certificates distributed

The chairman of the observation committee of the 17th Great June Uprising and Unity Day, Sunil Karam Many conveyed that many noble individuals donated their blood with an aim to help those who are need of blood as well as the disadvantaged section of the society.
He stated this during the blood donor cards and certificates distribution programme, organised by All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) and United Committee, Manipur (UCM) at the office of AMUCO in Kwakeithel.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Kumar stated that AMUCO and UCM have organised blood donation camp on June 18 every year, in connection with the observation of the Great June Uprising Day.
This year, during the blood donation camp, a total of 216 individuals donated their blood including those donors who have donated their blood more than 50 times.
AMUCO and UCM will always have respect for them who came forward with an aim to help and live together in unity.
Motivating the youths to donate their blood voluntarily, he stated that donating blood does not cause any on health but rather makes the donor healthy besides saving a person's life.
He added that the event was organised to honour them and motivate their decision.
This year's blood donation camp was organised in association with JNIMS and RIM, he stated.
17th Great June Uprising and Unity Day observation committee convenor S Sanjoy Singh was also present at the programme among others.
