Corruption watchdog invites Nagaland Chief Minister, Ministers to speak at rally

Dimapur, August 21 2017:
Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT), the popular corruption watchdog of the State of Nagaland has invited the Chief Minister of Nagaland and his Council of Ministers to speak at the anti-corruption rally in front of all Nagas gathered from all parts of Nagaland on August 25, and "lay down a road map for combating corruption including promise to stop the now ongoing exercise of withdrawal of funds from the Finance Department for vague/suspicious projects running into thousands of crores of rupees" .
ACAUT is organising a public rally in Dimapur on August 25 against the sorry state of affairs in the State of Nagaland .
According to ACAUT, corruption is a holistic term capturing the full essence of the term corruption.
In Nagaland context, apart from the siphoning of funds meant for roads, bridges and diversion of PDS items, etc., corruption would also include the non-payment of teacher salaries for months, the backdoor appointments, the wastage of public funds in buying luxury vehicles, the 'unclean' general elections, and most importantly, corruption in the form of factionalism which has divided the Naga movement, it added .
The NTC, ENPO, and NCD would be part of the platform along with the following speakers' Khekiye K.Sema, Z.Lohe, T.Solo, Peter Rutsa, Nitoka V.Swu (PSAN Convenor).
The ACAUT then appealed to the Naga people to attend the rally in their thousands and lakhs preferably traditional attire.
The rally will begin at 3.30 sharp and therefore, the public are requested to be gathered by 3.30 pm at the venue, Super Market, Dimapur.
