Students wing of JCILPS raided Puzzle restaurant at Singjamei Chingamathak, late night yesterday, where numerous men (including some non locals) and women were partying and behaving in immoral manners on the garb of Diwali festivities, and indefinitely closed down the restaurant .
According to the convenor of the JCILPS Students Wing, Manjit Sarangthem, the association launched a drive yesterday night, after the locals complained to the association that numerous men and women were engaged in immoral and offensive behaviours under the influence of alcohol inside Puzzle restaurant on the pretext of Diwali festivities .
The convenor claimed that during the drive the volunteers even came across numerous scantily clad men and women engaged in ball dance inside the restaurant, after which the association informed the locals as well as the police and raided the restaurant along with the police .
Expressing disappointment at the incident, he urged the police as well as the authority concerned to provide necessary counselling to prevent such kinds of immoral and offensive behaviour in the future and added that Puzzle restaurant has been closed indefinitely for organising such an activity.
