Dr Radheshyam resigns

All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) candidate in the recently held by-election of Hiyanglam Assembly Constituency, Dr Yumnam Radheshyam has resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Speaking at a press conference held at Mantripukhri, Dr Radheshyam said that he took the decision due to the current rift prevailing among the party leaders of AITC Manipur Unit.
Dr Radheshyam said that he has put in his papers to party president Th Shyamkumar today.
Saying that he has decided to leave the party according to the wish of the people of his Constituency, Dr Radheshyam said that it is not likely that party leaders of AITC Manipur Unit would collectively in future.
Regarding his future steps, Dr Radheshyam said that he would remain in politics and continue to work for the people.
However, decision for joining a new party would be taken later, he added.
It may be mentioned that Dr Radheshyam stood second in the by-election of Hiyanglam AC held on October 17 this year.
