NESO appeals PM, HM to provide security to NE people

North East Students' Organisation has appealed the Centre and respective state Governments for immediate measures for mental, physical and social security of North Eastern people all over the country.
The North East Students Organisation in a communique, today demanded intervention of the Prime Minister and Home Minister for ensuring proper security to the people of the North East.
The apex students' body of the region described frequent incidents of discrimination, atrocities and killing" of NE people and the present panic situation of fleeing various cities for fear of life as very "unfortunate".
Considerable number of people from North Eastern states stay away from their homes in different cities of the country.
A large number of students and employable persons from the region have to migrate to other parts of the country due to lack of adequate academic and employment facilities locally, it said.
NESO demanded the PM must be "accountable" to the region, being a representative of the area.
NESO further questioned why people who denounce Pakistani extremism and Jehadi groups are termed and considered as patriots while people who oppose illegal Bangladeshi migration are being threatened attacked and killed.
The students' body also affirmed, that the each and every illegal foreigners must be deported from the region while adding that the region is not a storage for illegal foreigners.
