Far from showing any signs of fatigue or disenchantment, troops of 28 Assam Rifles, Lilong Post have been continuing with their Samaritan job, extending help to the flood victims, which wreaked havoc across the four valley districts of Manipur.
It was along this line and philosophy that personnel of 28 AR, Lilong Post organised a function attended by prominent local leaders on Oct 15.The prominent personalities who attended the function included Md Faisal Maoreibi, Zilla Parishad, Lilong, W Birchandra, Up Pradhan, Romabati De-vi, Pradhan, T Bhani Devi, Pradhan and six other ward members of Arapti area.
Six bags of bleaching powder, six slabs of alum and drinking water were distributed at Arapti and Urup areas.
A large quantity of mosquito repellents were also distributed to the local people, which has become the defining characteristics of the 28 AR Post, Lilong.
