Change in educational standards for recruitment in army

With the development taking
place in every field across the
country and increase in
sophistication of holding
equipment profile of the Indian
Army, it has been felt that
matching education/technical
know how is mandatory for the
future generation soldiers.
Therefore the education
standards for recruitment in the
Indian Army for Soldier
General Duty and Tradesmen
have been changed inclu
ding,
for category candidates hailing
from backward areas like
Scheduled Tribes.
For all future
recruitment rallies in Nagaland
and Manipur, minimum
educational qualification
requirement for recruitment
have therefore been revised by
the Army as for soldier General
Duty (including all classes), 10
th
Pass, minimum 33% marks in
each subject with overall
aggregate of 45% and for
Soldier Tradesmen (including
all classes), 10
th
simple pass,
informed a statement issued by
the PRO (DW).
