DMD & COO of SBI Corporate Centre visits Loktak, plants tree saplings in LIWT campus

Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of State Bank of India Corporate Centre Ramesh Babu, in his special visit to Manipur at Loktak Lake has planted tree saplings at the campus of Loktak Inland Water Transport Sendra today.
After his arrival at Sendra, DMD & COO Ramesh Babu and other accompanying officials were accorded warm welcome by President and Secy of The Loktak Lake Tourism Co-operative Society Ltd and were invited to enjoy the traditional food specially prepared for the visitors.
Later, the visiting DMD planted tree saplings inside the campus of Loktak Inland Water Transport.
The dignitaries also flagged off the beautified service boat at Loktak Lake which was sponsored by SBI Yono while POS machines were also provided to Loktak Lairembi Ima Hotel which is situated at the middle of Loktak Lake to enable it to perform cashless transactions.
In his maiden visit to Loktak Lake, he was accompanied by Chief General Manager State Bank of India Local Head Office Guwahati Sunil Kumar Tandon, General Manager Network II State Bank of India Local Head Office Guwahati Digmanu Gupta and other key officials of SBI.

Sunil Kumar Tandon said that Loktak lake is one of the important places in India that has been included in its development and beautification project taken up by SBI and the beautification of service boats at Loktak will make it more attractive to the tourists while adding that the facility of cashless transaction at Loktak Lairembi Ima Hotel will make it more convenient for the visiting tourists.
SBI will dole out various initiatives in other important area in its continous effort to bring development and and growth in far flung area having significant tourist potential, he added.
