Imphal, November 12 2010:
The United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA) has strongly condemned the way a revolutionary leader of Manipur, UNLF Chairman, RK Sana Yaima has been captured by Indian inteligence from Bangladesh and kept him hidden unknown to any one.
The UTLA demanded that the Government of India should tell the people of the NE and the entire world where SanaYaima is.
In a press release, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Public Relations, UTLA, Anaconda today said that it is quite unfortunate for all revolutionary organisations, which strive for the unification of the NE and its sovereignty.
While condemning the brutality and atrocities of the Indian Security Forces against the revolutionary groups of the NE, the UTLA said, the apprehension of such treatment on RK Sana Yaima, whose whereabouts are still unknown, remains.
If the GoI tries to solve the political demands of the NE only through the barrel of the gun, then the people of the region would shift their stand and declare that not only Arunachal Pradesh but the whole of NE is part and parcel of China.
Anaconda further said that the people of the NE have been divided by India, and when the people are united, the Indians will ultimately meet their end.
The step-motherly treatment and the role played by the GoI is inconsistent with the principles embodied in the chapter of UNO, particularly the right to self determination, Anaconda said in his press release.
He said that the GoI should be sincere to the people, failing which it will face another grave warthe entire NE and China on the one side and India alone on the other.
The GoI should be sincere enough to tell the people of the NE and the entire world whether Sana Yaima is under their custody or had they murdered him in cold blood.
Such act of India is cowardice and against the International Human Rights Law.
