'Chai Pe Charcha' with veterans and Veer Naris held

Tamenglong, August 08 2021:
44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sect AR/IGAR(East) to commemorate 'Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav' organised 'Chair Pe Charcha' with veterans and Veer Naris of Army and Assam Rifles at Tamenglong.
The event was attended by 21 veterans and 3 Veer Naris, said a statement of PIB Defence Wing.
The commandant and all ranks of 44 Assam Rifles paid homage to the Valiant soldiers and remembered their sacrifices & the service rendered by the veterans.
The Commandant along with his wife interacted with the veterans and Veernaris over a cup of tea and inquired about the problems being faced by them.
He assured them of continuous support from the Unit in solving their problems in future.
He also briefed the veterans about various activities undertaken by the Battalion and asked suggestions or guidance from the veterans from their past experience.
He reassured them that the Battalion will leave no stone unturned in helping these veterans.
He urged veterans and their families to continue working hard to ensure India reaches new heights as it celebrates its 75th Independence Day as Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
Information and ideas with respect to ongoing welfare schemes launched by Army/Assam Rifles were shared with them.
Later, the unit doctor also attended to the medical queries and enlightened the gathering on all COVID related issues and Covid Appropriate Behaviours.
