Many continue to extend relief items to those who have been displaced by the recent outburst of communal conflicts in the State.
IRCS BDB
Indian Red Cross Society Bishnupur District Branch (IRCS BDB) in association with many donors distributed relief materials yesterday to various relief camps opened in Bishnupur district.
A press release by IRCS BDB said that relief materials were distributed to shelter camps opened at Kwakta Santhong Awang; SYWA Kwakta Santhong Makha; Kwakta High School; Wangoo Popular Club; Ithai Khunou High School; Kumbi Awang High School; Kumbi Relief Camp and Leimaram High School Relief Camp.
The team of IRCS BDB along with the donors visited the various camps and donated clothes, edible items, medicines, mosquito nets, health hygiene kits and extended monetary aid as well.

Thoubal
Social and Economic Organisation (SEDO), Yairipok donated edible items to the people who have been taking shelter in various areas within the jurisdiction of the organisation.
In the relief item distribution drive organised by SEDO, its members visited various shelter places and donated rice, pulses, onions, edible oil, salt etc.
In connection with the drive, SEDO secretary, Kh Surat said that the organisation will continue to extend best possible help to all the affected people as done in previous occasions at times of need, pandemic or calamity.
Terming the acts of violence and arson of May 3 last as really unfortunate, he appealed to all concerned to make collective efforts to ensure that such incidents do nor recur and strive for peace and tranquillity in the State.
Residents of Thoubal Moijing 31/1 and 31/2 handed over relief items to Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash to be distributed to people affected by the acts of communal conflicts across the State.
Moijing GP Pradhan Abdul Warish and Imam MV Abdul Aziz on behalf of the residents handed over bags of rice, onions, garlic, potatoes, mosquito nets, clothes, bedsheets, utensils etc to Thoubal DC.
Yairipok Singa
Residents of Yairipok Singa in Wangkhem Assembly Constituency donated relief items to the relief camp opened at Yambem High School in Andro Assembly Constituency.
The relief items were donated by households under Yairipok Singa Mathak Leikai Purana Masjid; Singa Makha Leikai Haji Muhammed Ali (Pukka Masjid) and Singa Canal Mapan Abujar Masjid.
