MLA visits Loushi Loukol, district administration begins camp

Kakching MLA Y Surchandra Singh visited Loushi Loukol where varieties of plants including potato, peas, dal, mustard and maize have been badly damaged by the incessant rain in the past few days.In order to provide relief measures to the unfortunate farmers, district administration Kakching opened a two-day camp today at a waiting shed near Loushi Khongjao to collect documents from the farmers.
Speaking to media persons, Surchandra stated that around 1000 acres of land where varieties of these plants have been planted are badly damaged adding possible aid will be provided by the State Government.
He urged the farmers concerned to submit their documents and participate in the camp.
Kakching Municipal Council Vice-Chairperson Uma Devi, other Councillors and Loushi Development Committee members took part in the inspection.
