Website launched, ancillaries released

An official website for the Global Youth Meet (GYM) 2014 scheduled at Imphal from February 20 to 25 was launched today at Classic Hotel in addition to releasing promotional ancillaries in the form T-shirts, bags, green diary and GYM leaflets.
The function was jointly organised by the Club 25 International Manipur and UNESCO Youth Foundation and it was graced by Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai, retired Planning Director and Club 25 International Manipur chairman Kangujam Mangi, YAS Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj and IGNTU-RCM Director in-charge Dr N Surjitkumar as presidium members.
Speaking at the function, Prithiviraj acknowledged the contributions made by youth across the globe in realising what is known today as global village.
He also called upon youngsters of the State to learn as many things as possible from the scheduled Global Youth Meet.
It's time for youngsters of Manipur to concentrate on constructive activities instead of lamenting over past mistakes so as to propel the State on a higher trajectory of development and progress.
K Mangi claimed that volunteers Club 25 International Manipur have been organising blood donation camps and provided blood to needy individuals as well as hospitals.
Around 450 delegates from more than 106 countries would take part in the six day event.
Lamenting that the Government has evinced little interest in the global event, general secretary of the organising committee Kiranjit appealed to all youngsters and students to support the event.

Delegates coming from across the globe would confer on different social issues including environment, health, culture, peace and disaster during the meet.
