Speaking at the occasion State Co-ordinator, Planning and Special Training, SSA, SMA Manipur, L Chandrakumar said, the six-day orientation programme has been organised to make sure all the children get access to education.
Participating teachers will be taught how to impart education to those children who are unable to attend formal school. "If a village under a certain district do not have a school, teachers, under the provisions of the RTE Act, may assemble the children in any nearby local club and impart education to them", Chandrakumar said.
The teachers should also determine a means to admit those childrens who have not received formal education before in a nearby school while providing them with free uniform and textbooks, he added.
