UKRA decries killing

Decrying the killing of captain L Khupneilun Kom alias L Lulun Kom s/o L Thangtinlen Kom of Saikul village, United Komrem Revolutionary Army (UKRA) has cautioned that UKRA will not remain silent if the security forces and police do not arrest the cadres of ZRO/ZRA, who allegedly killed Khupneilun and the leader of the outfit, who gave the order of his execution.
In a statement, UKRA/KNO information and publicity secretary SBB Kom said that ZRO/ZRA abandoned Khupneilun dead at a place near Light House, Churachandpur on November 1 after he was abducted by around three-four armed cadres of ZRO/ZRA from the same place at around 7.30 pm on October 31 .
The brutal killing of Khupleilun is not only an insult to UKRA, which is a signatory of SoO under KNO, but also to the people of Kom community residing in different parts of the State, the statement added.
It added that when people were celebrating Kut, the biggest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo group, ZRO cadres were indulging in bloodbath.
UKRA also asked ZRO/ZRA to spell out the reason why Khupleilun was brutally murdered.
In the past as well, UKRA/KNO cadre K Rolland Kom was killed in August 2006 .
However, the matter was resolved after ZRO/ZRA leaders tendered an apology to UKRA, the statement said.
