The UKLF condemned the gun attack on Phoilen village chief Ngamjahen on the night of Sept 17 allegedly by some miscreants causing grievous injury to a class VII student Lunkholal who was present inside the house at the time of the attack.
Phoilen village is located near Sajik Tampak in Chandel district of Manipur.
Being formed to protect and safeguard the life of innocent public, the UKLF is always against such actions of creating fear psychosis to the people, a statement issued by information and publicity secretary of the UKLF, JM Thadou said while appealing to all and sundry not to repeat such heartless action causing fears to innocent public in future.
It also appealed to the public to have understanding with the group operating in the area and not to easily change side to others particularly the newly formed armed groups as there is always a chance of misunderstanding and conflicts and confrontation thereby causing hardships to the public.
In any kind of conflict and confrontation, it is the public who are in the receiving end.
The life of innocent public should be respected and valued not to resort to mindless actions if there is no big and proper reason to do so.
This is for maintaining proper and permanent peace and normalcy in our society, the UKLF said.
