Plan expenditure
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, November 27 2012:
Out of the total plan outlay of Rs 3500 crores the Government of Manipur has been able to spend only 8 percent of the allocation.
According to an official source, the meagre fund utilisation figure is due to delay in releasing the State's share by the Planning Commission.
Confiding that the utilisation, till date, is for clearance of employees' salary, the source explained that low level of fund utilisation is also an indication of the State's poor resource management.
It is also informed that the Planning Commission's North East in-charge member BK Chaturvedi would be reviewing the region's plan expenditure at Guwahati on November 29 and 30 .
