Imphal, February 24 2017:
LJP's Central Parliamentary Board Chairman Chirag Paswan has said that the coming Assembly election is crucial and will decide the future of the coming generation.
Speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony of LJP candidate Athokpam Keshor of Yaiskul Kendra, Chirag said, "Many generations have gone by, wishing Manipur was more developed, had more facilities etc but even 70 years after India attained independence, India attained independence, there are no signs of development in the State".
He pointed out that the people of Manipur are still sending their children to other places for higher studies due to lack of facilities while other States are getting developed at a rapid pace.
Chirag urged the importance of selecting the right candidates, who can bring up all the relevant issues in the Assembly, in the coming election in order to ensure progress in the State and appealed to the people to support the LJP candidate.
LJP candidate, Athokpam Keshor said, "Yaiskul Kendra has been riddled with all kinds of problem be it the poor conditions of the road, poor drainage systems or unemployment problem.
"The hardships faced by the people of the Kendra and the State have also been amplified by the economic blockade, which could have been easily solved but has been politicised", he added.
