The situation was however brought under control after the police team arrived at the spot.
Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, general secretary of Government Dance College Students' Union, Saknaibi Potsangbam said that a meeting to discuss the admission issue was convened on December 17 in the presence of Deputy Registrar of the University, Director of Art and Culture Department and representatives of student unions.
