Congress VP lambasts govt over new SoP that allow home quarantine for COVID-19 cases

Vice president of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Moirangthem Hemanta had lambasted the new government COVID-19 SoPs which allows asymptomatic positive cases to undergo home quarantine terming it as no difference from leaving the people to end their lives.
The Congress leader terms the new SoP allowing home quarantine for asymptomatic COVID-19 positive cases as irresponsible order.
Talking to reporters at his residence at Tentha in Thoubal district , Hemanta said that the was the BJP led government is taking measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic is discouraging the people.
He said when the number of COVID-19 positive cases are on the rise there are lacks of health workers to provide that treatment.
He lambasted the government over failure to appoint 300 doctors and 106 nurses that was approved by the state cabinet eight months from now.
"We know we don't have enough doctors and nurses before COVID-19 reached here however, what took so long for the government to appoint 300 doctors and 106 nurses that has been approved by the state cabinet 8 months back" , Hemanta questioned .
He further said that suppressing the recruitment of the doctors and nurses due to differences of opinion between the Chief Minister and the Health Minister will make no difference from attending doctor after the patient dies.
He appealed the government to recruit doctors and health workers approved by the state cabinet befor it is not to late.
