AR conducts Ex-Servicemen rally at Kakching

Kakching, December 15 2018:
To honour & commemorate the sacrifice and selfless service to nation by the ex-servicemen of AR, Kakching Batallion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles organised a mega Ex-Servicemen rally at Kakching today.
The event was attended by an approximate strength of 90 ex-servicemen, their dependents, and Veer Naaris hailing from Kakching district.
The rally was conducted to provide a platform for registration of grievances and for their immediate redressal.
Issues related to pension, healthcare, re-employment among many others were taken up during the event.
The mega rally also have a pension anomalies cell, bank cell, Aadhar cell, medical camp and dental camp.
In the medical camp, free diagnosis and distribution of medicine along with medical consultation were provided to the veterans and veer naaris.
On the occasion, officers of Kakching Bn and HQ 28 Sector Assam Rifles interacted with the ex-servicemen and briefed them about various welfare schemes.
The veer naaris, war veterans and ex-servicemen were felicitated during the event by the Chief Guest Brig Neelesh Bhanot.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest stated that the ex-servicemen remain a part of the security forces and are an extremely important constituent of the society.
Even though they have completed their service yet they continue to work for our country relentlessly, he added and said that taking care of veterans and veer naaris and attending to their problems will always remain top priority for Assam Rifles.
The event culminated with an astounding musical display by Assam Rifles pipe band and serving of sumptuous food to the gathering.
The ex-servicemen and veer naaris extended their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for organizing the grand event in their honour.
