The 48 hrs bandh (6 am of June 14 to 6 am of June 16) was called after a dispute broke out between the union's members and some members of a community who claimed that the place where the AJRTDU branch office is situated falls under Tamenglong district.
Buses and other vehicles were restricted during the bandh except some good carriers which were escorted by Jiribam police.
Bazars, schools, banks and other offices were not affected by the bandh.
Bandh supporters were seen gathering at Gularthol bazar while Jiribam police were deployed at places to control and avoid unwanted incidents during the bandh.
