Free medical camp held

A one day free medical camp organised by the Rotary Club of Imphal, Manipur was held under the club community service at Little Flower School today.
Rotary Club Imphal president Keisham Binod told mediapersons that the free camp was conducted according to the programme listed on the annual calendar of the rotary club.
The main objective of organising the camp was to extend help to the students and staff who are not able to get timely medical checkups and treatments due to monetary problem, he added.
He further asserted that the medical camp not only provided free checkups and treatment but also provided free medicines to needy patients.
The doctors and paramedical staff who conducted the camp were all members of the rotary club.
The camp benefited around 150 persons in total with free checkups and free medicines, reportedly.
The Rotary Club Imphal secretary Th Devkumar also attended the camp.
The club has organised many free medical camps in the past within and outside Manipur.
It is now planning to organise a free medical camp in Myanmar too, by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
