Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam has said that cracking competitive and professional examinations is just a beginning for the aspirants in the path to serving and uplifting the people, specially the needy and downtrodden for an inclusive growth, fulfilling the motto of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
Th Radheshyam was speaking as the chief guest at the scholarship announcement for Civil Service, IIT-JEE and NEET aspirants organised by Thadou Students' Association in collaboration with ALS -India's IAS Coaching Institute at Manipur Press Club today.
The Minister said that in recent time Manipur has witnessed many aspirants coming out with flying colours in civil services and professional examinations, unlike the past.
He convyed that it is a positive sign of the Manipur society becoming more conscious in the field of education and such competitive examinations.
He added that uniike the past, Manipur today has many people who can mentor and guide the young aspirants for such competitive examinations.
Further he added that the society needs good human.
It is the duty of young aspirants to fulfil the wish of the people and make sure that they help the people.
Social Welfare and Cooperative Minister Nemcha Kipgen said that every positive change aspirants want to bring in the society has to begin with them.
She added that the aspirants should try to be innovative and think how to effectively utilize the available resources for the betterment of the society.
She also appealed to all the civil organizations in the State to carry out such efficient initiative more often as it will create a platform for young minds to benefit the nation as whole.
National Sales Head, ALS Satellite Education Private Limited, Prateek Bhattacharya said that the institute has witnessed many young people from the North East region coming to Delhi to pursue coaching classes for competitive examinations.
He stressed that in order to reach out to such young aspirants who couldn't afford to do so due to financial shortage, the institute has now opened up six branches in Manipur.
He added that through such effort the institute hopes to bring a positive change in the region.
In today's Ceremony of announcing scholarship for Civil Service, IIT-JEE and NEET Aspirants, he said that a scholarship examination will be held to select 100 students whose fees will be waived -off by certain percentage.
Chief Secretary, Manipur Suresh Babu also interacted with the young aspirants.
