Kangpokpi prays for COVID-19 patient, frontline workers

Kangpokpi, March 29 2020:
The Christian community of Kangpokpi District Headquarters today prayed for the fast recovery of 23 years old woman from Thangmeiband who was tested positive for COVID-19 recently.
The community also prayed for Chief Minister N Biren Singh and his Council of Ministers, MLAs, bureaucrats and officials of various departments who are tireless combating the pandemic.
A family prayer session, as appealed by Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship (KTCF) for various prayer agendas and to seeks God's divine intervention during the pandemic COVID-19 disaster, was held from 7 to 8 am.
The Kangpokpi Town Church Fellowship made an appealed to all the Christian community in the town to dedicate the morning services in form of family prayer yesterday evening in The Kanggui Post, the leading local WhatsApp group apart from disseminating the various prayer agendas.
Following the appealed and prayer agendas, the Christian community prayed for early recovery of the woman who is suffering from COVID-19.The Christian community of Kangpokpi DHQs thanked the media personnel who risk their lives to collect information and news to disseminate to the people and prayed for their safety as well as their families.
During the family prayer session, the Christian community also offered a prayer for all civil bodies of Kangpokpi including Kuki Inpi, Kuki Women Union, KSO and other community organizations as well as the local bodies such as KTC, KWWO and KYU.
They also further prayed for the people of Manipur in general and Kangpokpi in particular who stay outside the State.
It may be recalled that all Church services have been put on hold until further notice by the KTCF since last Sunday after observing the Janata Curfew on March 22.Sunday has always been a busy day for all the Christian community with eventful worship services since morning.
However, all the Church services including morning worship service, Sunday school at noon and evening worship service are all suspended due to the lockdown in the town.
As usual, the otherwise busy Churches in the town wore a deserted look.
