CSOs to monitor NFSA implementation

In connection with the implementation of National Food Security Act in Sadar Hills, CSO Sadar Hills and Consumer's Club, Sadar Hills unit today urged ADC, Kangpokpi to streamline Public Distribution System under the NFSA.
The CSOs Sadar Hills and Consumer's Club Sadar Hills unit appreciated the innovative programme of the Government under the National Food Security Act.
However, it said that people are apprehensive of discrepancies and irregularities in the implementation and distribution process.
Therefore, ADC as head of the administrative system should take up stringent action for effective implementation of the scheme so as to enable all the beneficiaries av til the facilities, it said.
The CSOs Sadar Hills and Consumei s Club Sadar Hills unit also irged the ADC to provide a copy of a list of beneficiaries including monthly allocation data of schemes under NFSA for Kangpokps, Saitu-Gamphazol and Saikul Sub Division while urging the department concerned to hold the distribution of NFSA till the required data are provided.
Interestingly, Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai had reportedly stopped the department concerned from distributing NFSA schemes in Saikul Sub Division due to alleged discrepancies in the implementation process.
CSOs Sadar Hills and Consumers' Club, Sadar Hills Unit asserted to strictly monitor the entire implementation process of schemes under NSFA while appealing the public as well as the beneficiaries and village chiefs to extende support so that the schemes schemes are implemened for the welfare of all the people.
