Imphal, July 27 2015:
Taking strong exception against the charges levelled by District Supply Officer, RK Binoy against former MLA of Thangmeiband AC MLA, Kh Joykishan and his men, the private secretary of the former MLA, K Dalinkumar has said that the DSO should clarify on the matter immediately.
RK Binoy had earlier accused the former MLA and his men of forcibly lifting the July rice allocation meant for Thangmeiband without any permit.
Speaking to media persons today, K Dalinkumar said that a criminal case against the DSO will be filed soon.
Speaking further, Dalinkumar said that the DSO never gave any written reply on why the June rice allocation for Thangmeiband under the Public Distribution System was not issued to the consumers.
This was even after a legal notice was issued to him following a public meeting, said the private secretary to the former MLA.
Piling more charges against the DSO, Dalinkumar alleged that though the Government of India allocates 413.83 quintals of rice under the APL category for Thangmeiband only 250 quintals were distributed.
Moreover of the 213.81 quintals of rice under the BPL category only 100 quintals were distributed.
Dalinkumar further alleged that there was no allocation in January 2014 and April 2015 under additional BPL.
Thangmeiband is also yet to get the sugar and kerosene quota for the months of June and July as the DSO has not issued the allocation order, he said and added that there has been no allocation for atta (wheat) since 2014.The allocation stopped sometime in 2013 .
