National integration tour concludes

Imphal, January 27 2017:
A week long National integration tour organized by the Maram Battalion of Senapati Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division culminated on January 24.A total of 18 students and two teachers of Maram Khullen High School of Senapati District (Manipur) participated in the tour, a PIB Defence statement informed.
During the course of the tour, the participants visited various historical places.
Prominent amongst these were the Fort Williams, Eden Gardens, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Indian Museum, Botanical Garden and Howrah Bridge.
Apart from these, the students were given a chance to experience metro city lifestyle with their visit to Park Street, New Market and Science City.
The students also interacted with Lt Gen Dushyant Singh, Chief of Staff (COS), Eastern Command.

The tour exposed the students to the rich heritage and culture of the nation.
All the students and teachers were felicitated with souvenirs and certificates.
The students conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizing team of Maram Battalion and were thankful to the Army as a whole for giving them such opportunity.
