Imphal, November 25 2014:
Not satisfied with the political and economic subjugation, the Government of India working relentlessly to annihilate all the people of Manipur by assimilating them into the culture and traditions of Indian people.
Curriculum of all educational institutions is completely dominated by the socio-political history, culture, traditions and language and it was designed to inculcate a borrowed notion among young students that 'we are Indians' .
Satellite TV channels are one power tool of cultural assimilation and these channels have been beaming Indianisation programmes round the clock.
As a result, indigenous culture, traditions and identity of Manipuri people are dying out day by day.
The nation is being degenerated to the status of a dispirited one, totally overwhelmed by a dependency culture.
Inter-marriage with Indian people is another factor which is speeding up the Indian project of racial assimilation, asserted the central committee.
What is more alarming is the incessant influx of Indian people and labourers and its impacts on the economy and socio-political life of the indigenous people.
Manipur with its minuscule population is battling for survival on account of being a colony and neighbour of India which has the second highest population in the world.
There is no agency of resistance against this population invasion aimed at diluting the distinctive identity of the indigenous people.
These immigrants from India have completely dominated the labour markets of Manipur thereby pushing many local labourers to the point of starvation.
All the indigenous people including hill people, valley people, the poor and the rich, peasants and landlords, labourers and entrepreneurs would soon face the possibility of losing their distinctive identity if the incessant influx from India is checked at the earliest, warned the outfit.
The degenerated and subjugated Manipuri nation would face a coup de grace planned by New Delhi and it would come in the garb of Look East Policy or Act East.
The Trans-Asian highway and the mega railway project aimed at facilitating trans-national trade between India and South East Asia would exterminate all small nations including Manipur.
In addition, establishment of numerous colonies for Indian labourers and officials engaged in the construction works of Loktak Hydro Project, Tipaimukh Dam and Jiri-Tupul railway project would soon become a reality.
Such colonies have already taken firm roots at Mantripukhri and Leimatak (Jiban Nagar).
To protect these migrant colonies, Indian military forces have already built several layers of protective shields.
The outfit further questioned if destruction of dwelling houses, homesteads and agricultural lands in the name of modernization projects such airport expansion, sports university and ring road would bring anything positive to the indigenous people.
Indigenous people of the land are facing a grave situation on account of incessant influx from the West and their inability to adapt to the changing political and socio-economic environment.
This strategy of population invasion demands collective struggle of both the civilians and the revolutionary groups, it added.
