The Social Warriors, Manipur along with several other CSOs submitted a memorandum to Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, today in connection with the brutal assault of a Manipuri by his company's CEO at Gurgaon on January 13 .
A press release issued today by the organisation stated that the victim, Arambam Romen, who was working as a quality auditor at TGS IT Solutions, Udyog Vihar, Phase 2, Gurgaon, was brutally beaten up by the company's CEO Puneet Kumar with hired bouncers and staff on mere suspicion of data theft.
According to the press release, the victim was stripped naked and severely beaten up by the accused individuals and eventually left for dead.
However, they finally dropped him off at a hospital and explained to the doctors that the victim had fallen from the stairs, it added.
The memorandum requested the Minister to pass directives to the authorities concerned who have allegedly neglected to take up the said case and to arrest and punish the culprits according to the law.
According to the press release, the memorandum further requested the Minister to give reasonable compensation to the victim who is currently undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital, New Delhi and to develop a new policy for the welfare and safety of North East people in Gurgaon which is not covered by Delhi police for North East.
