Kidnapped CCpur girl rescued from Noida

A minor girl from Kuki-Chin-Mizo dominated Churachandpur district, who went missing since she was kidnapped early last month, has been rescued from the hands of her captor from Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The accused has been formally arrested by Churachandpur police.
The victim was brought back to her home district by the police on Friday, Superintendent of Police (Churachandpur) Amrita Sinha said.
Amrita added that the district's women police station, following a complaint, had on July 7 registered a case of missing and kidnapping of a minor girl.
Investigation of the case revealed the location of the girl to be somewhere at the Harola Sector 5 area of Noida, she said and added that the kidnapper, according to an initial report, is from Bihar and staying at Noida.
Through close coordination with her Noida counterpart, the minor girl was rescued safely from the same place and the accused was also arrested by Noida Police on Tuesday.
Subsequently, on the same day, a team of three police officers led by Inspector Chinneihlam Gangte, the OC of Women Police Station, Churachandpur left for Noida to bring back the girl.
The victim was brought safely to Churachandpur on Friday and handed over to Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of the district for further necessary action, Amrita said and added that investigation is underway.
The kidnapped girl child was rescued even as a series of the protests have been lined up against the mysterious death of another girl child on July 18 .
