With regards to the construction of Langjing Water Supply Scheme which has been taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission, the MLA informed that Heinoubok community pond will be an important part of the scheme since it is located beside it.
The water bodies located near the pond will also be dugged up as a community pond within one year, he added.
In view of the water shortage issue in the paddy fields of Heinoubok, the MLA has informed that water will be pumped from these water bodies into these fields to ensure that harvesting of paddy is not affected.
While maintaining that he is working earnestly to ensure that Patsoi AC becomes a self-reliant constituency, he stated that fishes will be reared in the public ponds of Heinoubok so that locals do not have to rely on outsiders in terms of fish consumption.
He also commended the collective participation of the locals during such cleanliness drives.
The MLA continued that measures are underway to commission the Langjing Water Supply Scheme by December this year.
Lastly he informed that a proposal has been submitted to construct a stadium at the public ground located next to Heinoubok pond under 'Khelo India' programme and expressed belief that approval for the same will be granted soon.
