Imphal, October 17 2011:
The proscribed UG group Maoist Community Party, Manipur warned the headmasters of Primary schools and Assistant Inspectors of schools to refrain from looting mid day meals for students.
In a press release, the party alleged that many Head Masters in alliance with AIs add more names of students in the list submitted for mid day meal and loot both the government fund and students' properties.
When asked about the reason for adding more names, most of the headmasters and AIs told the party that they were adding more names in order to feed the students properly since the fund provided by the government is not enough to feed the students.
On the contrary, they robbed both the public funds and the funds meant for real students, it added.
While asking not to repeat such acts in future, the party further warned such headmasters and AIs from forming alliances with reactionary groups and extortionist in order to save their skin.
If any are found continuing such practices and form alliances with reactionary groups, the party will not hesitate to come down hard against them.
It further asked one certain reactionary group whose name was not disclosed to stop meddling with the party's operations and missions unless they want to invite extreme actions from the party.
