Senapati, May 17 2023:
Senapati District Drivers' Welfare Union (SD-DWU) distributed ration items to drivers and helpers of 129 vehicles stranded in between Lairouching to Senapati town on Wednesday.
It can be mentioned that the Union had earlier distrib-uted essential items to about 66 trucks on May 10 along the stretch between Khuzama and Mao Gate.

SDDWU general secretary B Loli said that the essential items were distributed to drivers and helpers of loaded trucks to ease hardships faced by the truck operators to some extent.
The loaded trucks carry-ing essential items heading to I mphal are lined up along the highway after violence erupted in the state on May 3, he added.
