Separate parliamentary teams of BJP and CPI (M) are expected to arrive in Imphal shortly to cull reports on the people's agitations in the wake of the firing incident on BT Road here on July 23 last.
President of BJP, Manipur state unit, Haobam Borbabu informed media persons that BJP national president Rajnath Singh had assured him that the party's parliamentary team will be landing here shortly to take stock of the prevailing situation in Manipur.
Borbabu said, he had a marathon telephonic conversation with Rajnath two days back and he has assured him that the MPs team will come to Imphal here on July 18 .
The team is coming here to collect detailed reports on the situation.
The delegation will also meet leaders of the civil organizations.
Borbabu said, the party leaders are being informed on the prevailing situation of the state from time to time.
The party had planned to table the matter in the Parliament during the last session.
But it could not be materialized as the session come to an end.
Stating that the agitation has been launched against the Chief Minister's misleading statement in the Assembly, Borbabu pointed out the matter has not been tackled by the government officially.
He also said that no help has been seen from the government to the dead and injured victims of BT Road incident.
The BJP President said the same is happening with the AICC.
No word has been heard from them.
No action has been taken against O Ibobi for his undemocratic action.
He also said that O Ibobi can be removed from his seat by the Congress MLAs.
But no such initiative is seen so far from them.
He said the BJP national leaders will be updated on the matter and they will be pursued to take fitting action.
Meanwhile, the secretariat member of CPI (M), Ksh Shanta said the CPI (M) Parliamentary team will come in the state within this week.
He said the team will collect detail reports of the situation and observe it.
