Arambai found documented in London museum

Imphal, February 16 2016:
Original pictures Arambai (dart) and its dif-
ferent components once used by the Meitei army have been found
at the City Pitts River Museum, Oxford, London.
International Bar Association (London) and International
Human Rights Committee, London, member Sarangthem
Manaobi (Khoiranthaba), in a press meet held at his residence
at Thongju today said he personally went to see the pictures
after London based Manipuri doctor Bishorjit informed him
about its presence at City Pitts River Museum, Oxford.

The presence of the pictures is also cited in the book 'History and Culture of Manipur' authored by Saroj N Arambam Parratt and John Parratt, Manaobi stated.
Manaobi left for London on January 30.Before reaching City Pitts River Museum, he visited the British Museum in search of the pictures.
