The AMSU has banned an NGO for allegedly swindling money from unemployed youths seeking jobs.
The fraud NGO banned by AMSU is called the Ministry of Child Health and Care Centre with its head office at Canchipur.
The NGO run by its managing director Adim Rongmei of Khoupum alone is neither registered nor receive any aid from national and international agencies.
It only publishes advertisements for various jobs.
From each of the selected candidates, the NGO took Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 with false promises of jobs, emoluments, perks etc.
Surrendering himself to AMSU today, fraud Adim Rongmei has assured to reimburse all the money he collected fraudulently from the selected candidates within August 20.AMSU vice-president Jamesbond Mangang said that the NGO has been banned indefinitely.
