Symposium held at Jiribam

Jiribam, December 14 2014:
A one day symposium on the potiential growth of organic-orthodox tea farming in Jiribam was held at PWD guest house, Jiribam, today.
The symposium was organized by Manipur Cultural Integration Conference (MCIC) in collaboration with All Jiribam Working Journalist Union (AJWJU), Jiribam; INTACH-Manipur Chapter and People Foundation, Manipur under the sponsorship of Centre of Social Development (CSD), Imphal.
Ng Biswajit Singh, President All Jiribam Working Journalist Union (AJWJU) delivered the welcome address and Dr RK Ranjan delivered the keynote address at the function.
O Mohindra Singh, Director Heirang, a Govt of Manipur undertaking was the chief guest of the function while BJP Manipur Pradesh Kishan Morcha president Kh Nabachandra and Editor of Manipur Chronicle, Nilotpol Choudhary were the president and guest of honour respectively.
Ayekpam Nilakumar Singh, Manager, Singla Sora Tea Estate and Manager, Mangura Sora Tea Estate and Shyam Kumar Singh, Senior Assistant Manager, Dolopsora Tea Estate delivered speeches on the potentiality of producing organic-orthodox tea in Jiribam.
Nilotpol Choudhary shared his experience about his visits to tea estates in various parts of India and beyond.
