Moreh road poses risk

Moreh, August 14 2011:
Following sinking of a certain portion near Lokchao bridge along Imphal-Moreh section of NH 39, the same road is posing serious threat to heavy vehicles.
The spot located about 22 Kms away from Moreh towards Imphal sank at the impact of a heavy downpour recently.
The situation demands immediate attention of the Government.
Notably, around 300 vehicles including vans, jeeps, buses and trucks are plying on the road everyday.
The trade volume along this route has been increasing significantly with the opening of the border trade.
