Members of Crime Women Organisation for Indian Crimes Against Women visited the rape victim of Khongjom Sapam.
Apart from gathering report form the family of the victim, the members also met SP of Thoubal district and OC of Kakching police station in connection with the incident, said a press release.
During their meeting with the SP and OC, the members of the organisation requested the police officers to nab the absconding rapist at the earliest.
The organisation also submitted an application regarding Yairipok rape case to the SP.
In view of the growing number of rape cases in the State, the organisation urged the parents and guardians to take care of their daughters.
Meanwhile, a joint meeting of Joint Action Committee, civil society organisations and villagers have decided to launch agitation if the rapist of an 11-year-old girl from Phaknung is not punished according to the law.
The meeting also resolved to permanently ostracise the rapist from the village, said a press release.
