Many continue to show solidarity amidst lockdown

Imphal, May 14 2020:
Thangal Union, which is an apex body of 12 Thangal villages in Senapati and Kangpokpi has visited Sana Konung with relief vegetables grown in the hilly region for distribution to valley dwellers.
The vegetables were handed over to titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba.
After receiving the vegetables, Leishemba Sanajaoba said that he felt elated to see so many hill and valley people exchanging foods and vegetables amid the lockdown regularly.
Receiving such help from hill people at these challenging times is priceless, the titular king said and asserted that hills and valley have contributed equally in Manipur's civilization.

Leishemba Sanajaoba also announced that the relief vegetables will be distributed to economically distressed people.
YK Kaping, president of Thangal Union said that they have also distributed a truckload of vegetables and fruits to Chief Minister for distribution to the public.
The titular king also gifted one shawl each to the visiting delegates of the Thangal tribe.
AMUCO
Continuing its relief effort, All Manipur United Club's Organisation (AMUCO) provided edible items to one Hijam Jivan (45) from Nongren Mayai Leikai.
Hijam Jivan has a brain tumour and till date, he hasn't received any help from the Government.
Hijam Jivan has four children.
UPF
United People's Front (UPF), Manipur also provided essential items to widows below from different localities of Imphal West district such as Mayang Langjing, Kadangbam Part-III, Kangchup Chingkhong, Nongchup Keithelmanbi and Konthoujam.
Widows assisted
Social Backward People's Development Organisation (SBPDO) Aslam Raj provided food items such as rice, dal potatoes to widows from Sagaiyumpham Part-I Mairenkhul under Khangabok AC, today.
Moirang
Senior Citizen For Manipur Moirang Chapter has provided breakfast to four quarantine facilities being opened at Moirang Assembly Constituency for 75 inmates.
The four quarantine centres are LCM High School (women only); St Xavier School Moirang; Advance Intermediate College Moirang and Madrasa Jamiatus Salihat Wa-durul Yatama Lil Banat, Kwakta.
On the other hand, Kumbi Road Motor Owners & Transport Worker Co-operative Society Ltd distributed food items to 64 of its members.
The distributed items are rice (5 kgs), potatoes (1 kg), onion 1 kg, edible oil (half litre) and one packaged salt each.
Help extended by SEEP
The Socio Economic Empowerment Finance along with the Self-help groups working under it, has extended help to various places including Integrated Programme for Senior Citizens Old Age Home, Nongpok Kakching, Poirei Nawakon, Achanbegei Awang Leikai, B P Paul Mental Development Home, Mongshangei Lai Leirak, Senior Citizen Home, Kongba Nongthongbam Leikai and Destitute Children Home, Tera Keithel.

NiMPAL Imphal West distributed food items to the orphan home in Poirei Nawakon Achanbigei today.
