Imphal, August 12 2020:
Greeting the people on the 16th foundation day of its armed wing the Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) which falls on August 13, the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), today doffed its hat off to the doctors, nurses, health workers and others engaged as frontline warriors in the fight against COVID-19 .
The outfit also greeted the armed groups of WESEA, CSOs, intellectuals, media persons and to the cadres of MFL.
Addressing the cadres of MFL as comrades, chairman of the military affairs committee and president of KCP, Ksh Laba Meitei in a statement said that unity is the only answer to achieve socialism (equality) and added that it is important for all armed movements to strike a united front to earn the faith and confidence of the people.
To work towards unity, it becomes important for everyone to have a common ideology and it is through unity that the revolutionary movement can gain momentum and march towards victory.
To work towards unity, the theory of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism becomes important, said the KCP leader and added the 'Combat Liberalism' is central to Maoism.
The understanding of 'liberalism' should be seen beyond the academic interpretation, said the statement and added that it would be more right to understand it in the context of 'vulgar individualism' and laid down 11 points mentioned by Mao.
Broadly Maoism talks about the merits of mental strength, the ill effects of speaking behind the back of others, the habit of staying aloof from affairs that affect everyone which will lead to everyone's loss and detriment, selfish motive will erode all revolutionary movements and all should be ready to follow instructions given under revolutionary ideals, useless confrontations without any effort to deal with sensitive matters will lead to the loss of the revolutionary movements, in case one remains indifferent in the face of any anti-revolutionary activities then it would negate the ideals of revolutionary movements, if one remains indifferent to any revolutionary messages and does not pass it to others, then one will be derailing the revolutionary movement, strength of the organisation will be decided by the strength of the people who are its members, there should be no egoism in carrying out any revolutionary works, and if one does not correct oneself even after the folly has been found, then it would derail the revolutionary movement.
