NSUC submits memorandum to Governor of Manipur

Naga Students' Union, Chandel (NSUC) has submitted a memorandum to La Ganesan, Governor of Manipur, today requesting his immediate intervention and direction on certain matters concerning the welfare of the people.
A release issued by NSUC stated that the memorandum was submitted to the Governor on his maiden visit to Chandel District at DC Office Complex, Mini Secretariat, Chandel.
The first matter listed in their memorandum was on the issue of ADC Bills.
NSUC requested the Governor to approve the ADC Bills and conduct early ADC elections.
They added that the ADC recruitment process should not be conducted before the ADC election.
They also requested to expedite the long pending Naga issue stating that the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 should remain the central domain of discussion and be honoured in letter and spirit.
The other matters listed in the memorandum in brief are: Ima Keithel/ Women's Market to be moved to a newly constructed area; a report on the actions undertaken in the Education Department; to equip District Hospital with the required facilities, machines and human resources; to extend water supply in all areas of Chandel; to oversee the compromise on quality in the civil works undertaken by different departments especially on the National Highway; ineffective implementation of Government schemes owing to the non-functioning of about 70% of Government Departments because of the pandemic and inability to work from home; to ensure that the recently inaugurated District Transport Office starts functioning at the earliest and resumption of regular classes for schools and colleges.
