Committee on Protection & Preservation of the Historical Rights of Koubru & Thangjing Hill Ranges has submitted a representation to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and DGP in connection with the alleged prohibition placed by KSO, Henglep Block on entering Thangjing Hill.
As per a statement issued by the committee, the letter addressed to the CM, CS and DGP urged them to direct the authorities concerned to initiate necessary legal action(s) against Kuki Students' Organisation, Henglep Block or persons involved in issuing the press release on May 5 for inciting and/or creating communal hatred/tensions amongst the various indigenous peace loving communities of the State.
The letter added that KSO Henglep Block's statement has the potential to create animosity among the people.
The committee also contended that KSO Henglep Block's press communique had misled a large section of the population.
As such, the Committee of Protection & Preservation of the Historical Rights of Koubru & Thangjing Hill Ranges has urged for immediate legal action to be initiated against persons involved in the matter in order to avoid any such incidents in the future.
