AR reaches out to war veterans

Imphal, November 10 2015:
An Ex-Servicemen rally for Assam Rifles and Army was held at Pallel.
The rally was organised by Assam Rifles Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) on Tuesday.
In a statement, PRO HQ IGAR (S) said that large number of Ex-Servicemen of Assam Rifles, Army and Veer Nari attended the rally.
Ex-Servicemen have made a stellar role in development of society of Manipur.
The Sector Commander inaugurated the programme and welcomed the Veterans and War Widows.
During the programme the elderly Veterans and War Widows were felicitated for their selfless service to the Nation.
The AR officers highlight the various ex-servicemen rally schedules, pension benefits.
The ex-servicemens addressed their grievances and the AR officers were assured to help possible assistance.
The ex-servicemen were encouraged to actively participate in such rallies so that they can updated about various facilities initiated for them and are able to draw maximum benefit out of the same.
Various welfare measures to include assistance for setting up ex-serviceman Office at Moreh, Handing over of 10 Mile Cafe to ex-serviceman League, Preference Passes to ex-serviceman and war widows for their move on NH-102 were also extended.
The Assam Rifles reaffirmed its continued support to its veterans during the course of rally.
