Health Director refutes alleged secret appointment

Director State Health Services, Dr S Ibomcha refuted to the claim of some organisations through local newspapers which alleged a secret appointment of a woman to the post of DOT supervisor for District TB Control Society in contract basis and stated that the claim is baseless and untrue.
Reacting against the allegation, Dr S Ibomcha in a press meet held today at RD Wing office, Lamphel said that there was no such scams in the process of interview which was held on April 25 and appointment of DOT supervisors for Chandel district.
He said that the allegations made by All Tribal Women's Organisation, Aimol Students' Union and All Tribal Disabled Physically Handicapped Union are senseless and unfortunate.
The appointment of supervisors was made as per the 200 point roster of the Manipur Gazette which clearly indicates reservation of 2 percent for SC, 31 percent for ST and 17 percent for OBC categories.
It was also administered properly to provide proper quotas to all the different communities residing in the all the districts of the state excluding Ukhrul, he said.
Dr Ibomcha said that the organisations might be provoked by the appointment of one OBC candidate in Chandel district.
Such appointments also occurred in other districts during the appointment process.
The woman who was appointed under OBC reservation in Chandel district attended the interview and other required process of appointment.
Moreover she was found to be well qualified and experienced for the post.
He appealed to the volunteers of the organisations to take back its stand and allow her to join her service and help the department in its services for the welfare of the people of the district.
State TB Offier Dr AK Khamba also participated in the press meet and briefed the reporters about the 200 point roster of the Manipur Gazette.
