Village chiefs, chairmen, CSOs refute allegation

Chief and chairmen of Patpuihmun, Phulpui and Thingpuikuol and CSOs (Val-Upa and HYA) have refuted the allegation levelled against Thingpuikuol village chief.
In a statement, village chief and chairmen said that one Fimthouthang of Thingpuikuol village, Pherzawl district has alleged his village chief of warning the villagers for voting in favour of BJP candidate in the recently held State Assembly election afterwhich villagers of Vengai range area have fled their respective village.
The allegation made by Fimtouthang is totally baseless and concocted.
Thingpui- kuol village chief Lalvulmawi (Vula) had never threatened any villager and none of yje villager has not fled the village as alleged.
Fimtouthang and his family who are presently residing at Thingpuikuol village itself is the proof that the allegation is utterly unfounded, the statement said.
The statement was jointly issued by Lalvulmawi (Vula), chief of Patpuihmun, Phulpui and Thingpuikuol village, L Malsawn, chairman in-charge, Phulpui Village Authority, Lalrosung, secretary, Patpuihmun Village Authority, Risanglien, secretary, Thingpuikuol Village Authority, Rangkhum, chairman, Val-Upa, Thingpuikuol, Sakhuolien, chairman, Val-Upa, Patpuihmun, Rohmin- thang, president, Hmar Youth Association (HYA), Patpuih-muin, Zarzolien Sungte, president, HYA, Thingpu-ikuol and 5 village authority members of Thingpuikuol, Phulpui and Patpuihmun namely Hmuoka, Lallukhum, Ramhmangai, Phirremthang, Lalnghaklien and Chongrofel.
