US bicycle adventurer in town

Imphal, January 10 2015 :
Manipur Adventure Mountain Biking Association accorded a warm welcome to 54-year-old American citizen Kevin Lee who is currently on a bicycle tour from Bangkok to Kath-mandu at a reception function held at Manipur Press Club today.
After experiencing a difficult journey in Myanmar, Kevin reached Imphal on January 8 .
Saying that he stayed in Myanmar for 22 days, Kevin said that he however drove his bicycle in the neighbouring country just for five days.
Narrating his bitter experiences, Kevin said that he was even stopped and asked to return home by some goons.
In 2010, Kevin had toured the whole USA in his bicycle in 71 days with only 100 dollars in his pocket.
Kevin said that he started his tour from Bangkok to Kathmandu on December 5 .

He has been staying in South Korea since past 13 years after marrying a Korean woman, he added.
Kevin is a teacher by profession and he has written a book entitled, 'Another Country Person' .
Youngest Mt Everest climber of the State and a member of Manipur Adventure Mountain Biking Association Chingkheinganba said that they met Kevin in front of a cycle shop located at Palace gate yesterday as he was looking for repairing of his bicycle.
He said that the association members would accompany Kevin up to Senapati.
Later, association members and those present at the reception function donated some money to Kevin for his tour.
