AAP upset over PM's silence on Manipur violence

Aam Aadmi Par-ty (AAP) Manipur Activi-ty coordinator Sagolsem Bankimchandra has ex-pressed strong resentment that Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues remain silent over the ethnic clashes in Manipur.
Addressing a press meet at party's Moirangkhom office here on Tuesday, Bankim-chandra reaffirmed Trina-mool leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Ba-nerjee's remarks over the PM's obvious serious atti-tude towards the Karnataka elections against the ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur which has left over 50 dead.
Party coordinator Bish-wanath Thingnam urged all communities residing in the state to prevent further occurrence of the violence.
He continued that only when people in both the hills and valley unite, will there be peace and development in the state.

During the all po-litical party meeting, AAP shared various suggestions to the government, including accelerating the relief and rehabilitation initiatives.
It is not only the displaced peo-ple at relief camps who are suffering but also the entire population of Manipur, he remarked.
He then urged for bringing in essential items as soon as possible, while suggesting for relaxation of the internet to-tal shutdown for a short time period to facilitate banking transactions.
Additionally, the government should see to the resettlement of those at relief camps soon, the co-ordinator maintained.
Referring to seizure of poppy seeds in Lamlongei, Mantripukhri on Monday amid the tense situation, Biswanath further urged the government to help trace the whereabouts of the peo-ple who have gone missing during the violence.
AAP will always stand for the people of Manipur and will continue to extend assistance wherever needed, he affirmed while appealing to all concerned to stay calm and help restore peace in the state.
