In connection with the International Human Rights Day to be observed on December 10, Threatened Indigenous People's Society (TIPS), Manipur would be organising a photo exhibition cum competition on the theme of 'Crimes against humanity'.
Along with the observance function, the photo exhibition cum competition would be inaugurated at the complex of Manipur Central Youth Club at Keishampat Junction on December 10 but the photo exhibition would continue till December 13.On the last day of the exhibition, the names of the winners of the photo competition would be announced.
Announcing this during a press conference at the office of TIPS at New Checkon this afternoon, general secretary of the Society Tondon Moirang Asemcha said that those who like to participate in the photo competition may collect the entry form from the office of TIPS or from Manipur Central Youth Club at Keishampat Junction.
He further announced that along one citation each a cash reward of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 would respectively be given to the first three winners of the photo competition.
He explained that photo exhibition is to be organised with the main objective of spreading message of peace among the people who have been caught in a situation where the State actors as well as non-State actors have been violating the human rights.
